Soil Prep, Grading, and Establishment
Soil preparation may include removing debris, loosening compacted surfaces, and creating a finish grade that sheds water away from the home. Skipping prep is a common reason new sod fails to knit evenly.
Installation day is about tight seams, good soil contact, and a clean edge against beds and walks. Afterward, establishment watering is critical—especially in heat—so we review expectations before you approve the project.
